Integration & Education

There are two components that are critical to having efficient and effective systems within your organization – 1. Having the right tools set up in the right way, and 2. Making sure your team is confident and empowered to use them correctly. With both of these prongs in mind, we work closely with you and your team to make sure your systems are strategically set up in a way that aligns with your goals AND we provide education to make sure your systems feel like a resource rather than a burden.

Whether you’re looking for one-time account cleanup, training for you or your team, help with QBO/Clio integration, or occasional support, KORE Accounting Solutions is here to help!

“Intelligent individuals learn from everything and everyone; average people, from their experiences. The stupid already have all the answers.”

– Socrates

QuickBooks Online (QBO) & Legal Practice Manager (LPM) Integration

As a tech-forward firm, we’ve long embraced new technologies and believe that cloud-based tools are the future of accounting, which is why our firm exclusively works with customers that use cloud-based legal practice management systems and/or QuickBooks Online. Compared to locally-hosted software of yore, cloud-based tools have numerous advantages for small businesses; however, like with most technology, if not implemented correctly, things can quickly get worse instead of better. Fortunately, the KORE Team has extensive experience integrating QBO with various cloud-based LPMs (such as Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, etc), we understand the implications of the various sync options, and we work to configure the integration to best suit your firm’s specific needs.

Historical account cleanup/Pre-sync preparation

There are numerous reasons a firms’ accounting may not be up-to-date, and whatever your reason, we are not here to judge! Whether you need to catch-up on accounting for tax purposes, you’re looking to prepare for a sync between your LPM and QBO, or your previous accountant left you high and dry, the KORE team has the experience to untie the knots and get your accounting into great shape. For most of our new customers, unless they are a brand new firm (more on that below!), there is likely some cleanup that has to be done; fortunately, you will receive our list of cleanup recommendations as part of our Financial Health Assessment, giving you a clear picture of next steps.

QBO and Clio Setup for new firms

The best time to start thinking about your accounting and practice management systems is as soon as you start your business! When you hit the ground running and have a solid foundation in place, you can focus your efforts on bringing in clients instead of struggling to develop processes. As Authorized QuickBooks Resellers and Clio Certified Partners, not only do we have affordable and streamlined options available to help get your business’s technology off the ground, but we are also usually always able to offer our customers additional savings and/or promotions. In addition to making sure your systems are in place, we are also glad to provide system and process training to you and your team.

Educating you and your team on systems and processes

Hands-down, the biggest challenge we see firms face when adopting new systems and technology is resistance from current team members. Even if you are confident that your new tools can save your firm time and/or increase profitability, without buy-in from your staff, it’s all too easy for software transitions to be derailed. We believe that the remedy for this is two-fold: 1. Prior to any software transition, expectations should be outlined and managed with your team, and you should do your best to explain the benefits ahead of time. 2. Your team should receive proper training and support once the new systems are in place – this is where KORE comes in! We love working with our customers and their teams to help them best utilize their tools, and we see the positive impact that adhering to systems and repeatable processes can have on a business.

Recurring Monthly Support

If you aren’t quite looking for full-service accounting, but you would still like a second set of eyes on your accounting and access to an expert when you have questions, one of KORE’s Monthly Support Service options may be the right fit for your firm. Our support offerings are a great option for businesses that are happy with the person currently handling their accounting but want to implement a system of checks and balances, as well as firms who want to keep handling their day-to-day accounting in-house while still having access to someone who can provide guidance, QBO support, and answer questions. Like most of our other services, our support packages are a fixed monthly price, enabling you to budget appropriately and never be hit with sticker shock.

One-off Support and Education

For business owners that have one-off questions, are looking for help with a particular process, want to troubleshoot a problem in real-time via video chat/screenshare, or are looking for training on a specific item, KORE is happy to offer as-needed support on an hourly basis. In most cases, due to our experience with both QBO and Clio, we are able to help troubleshoot and answer questions that Clio or QuickBooks support struggle with due to their siloed areas of expertise. If you need help and feel that one-off support will be the best option for you, please reach out to our team so that we can get a better idea of your needs and schedule you with the best person on our team to help.
